I have always admired Whitney Houston. She was a beautiful woman, with a beautiful voice that changed people’s lives through her God-given talent. My favorite song of hers is her version of Jesus Loves Me that she sang in the Bodyguard. I was so excited to hear this morning that that is the last song she sang on stage Thursday night with her friend Kelly Price.
We all make mistakes in our life. Unfortunately, when a celebrity has troubled times it is broadcast for the whole world to hear about it. I love what Simon Cowell had to say about Whitney when he interviewed with The Sun.
"There were certain people in her life that you wish she'd never met. That's what's so upsetting, it didn't need to happen.
"It wasn't that she was ill, there were other issues."
He hinted that Whitney's troubled marriage to singer Bobby Brown was behind some of her problems.
Simon said: "Up until that point she was massively successful. Her records were fantastic, there were no signs of any crazy behavior.”
"Then it started to go downhill. It could all have been avoided." |

"She was a trailblazer. She deserves to be remembered fondly.
"Ever since I've been doing this job — particularly doing talent shows over the past ten years — the singer anyone ever wanted to emulate, if they really wanted to be a superstar, was always Whitney.”
I think most of us have had people come into our lives that we would have been better off not knowing! I am a firm believer that you cannot blame other people for your actions, so no blame anywhere here. Matters of the heart tend to lead us all astray! However, she got her beautiful daughter through her rocky relationship with Bobby Brown. That was a true blessing from God in her life. We all need to keep Bobbi Kristina in our prayers!
At the end of the day, she was an amazing woman who gave us music that impacted our lives in many ways. So here’s to you Whitney Houston. You will be missed my many!
RIP Whitney Houston 1963-2012
