Self-esteem is your real feeling about yourself. You express your self-esteem by the way you treat yourself, how well you understand yourself, and how you accept your feelings. People with high self-esteem have good feelings about themselves. They value their own opinions and ideas. Their behavior and appearance reflect the positive value they have in themselves. People with low self-esteem believe that they are not responsible for what happens to them, feel that they are victims of the world, demonstrate dependent and defensive behavior and put impossible demands of self and others.
