As women, we usually begin the New Year resolving to make changes within our lives as well as the lives of those around us. We possess this natural tendency & ability to want to make the world a better, safer, happier place for all. It is “what we do”! And consequently, more often than not, our own needs are soon shuffled to the bottom of our priority list. This prevents us from becoming the best version of our “Self”. We must learn to appreciate ourselves and become more adept at ‘tooting our own horn”. This concept does not easily fit within our internal “comfort zones” because for many of us while growing up were told that it wasn’t okay to talk about ourselves and that “others” would think it bragging. As you reflect back on 2009: What were your biggest “wins”? What is different for you now than a year ago? What was your biggest 2009 challenge? What feels incomplete, unresolved or unfinished? What plans need to be put into action for 2010? Be KIND to yourself, APPRECIATE yourself and let others know just how SPECIAL & TALENTED you are! Wishing you a blessed, happy and prosperous 2010.
