| Speaking of Birthdays…Seriously! |

 When Kdee recently announced the one-year birthday of g3girls, I was in the midst of celebrating the anniversary of my own birth! It’s hard to believe that g3 is already turning one, and even more difficult to wrap my head around how many years I’ve been a part of the human race. Now, my mom thinks I’m still a young whipper-snapper, and in fairness to her, she has got me beat by 32 years, but I’m really, really starting to feel my age. Ugh. I mean really. Don’t get me wrong, I know that I’m extremely blessed to have this life, and I’d never take that for granted; it’s just that I’d rather not have to FEEL every little bit of my age when I undertake projects that require a good deal of physicality. For example, my family and I are preparing to sell our home, and we have been doing some minor sprucing up, like touching up paint and cleaning grout. Ouch! Being down on the floor scrubbing, painting, and moving furniture has taken its toll on my aging body. I want to work like I did in my 20s, but my knees, back, and every other part of me disagrees with that philosophy. The nice thing is that we are at a point in our lives where we can contract out most jobs, but there are things we feel like we can handle on our own. I may have to rethink my inflated view of my strength and stamina! Back to g3girls, since that is the reason for my line of thinking here. Although many aspects of my life keep me from writing as often as I’d like, I’m so proud to be a part of g3, and it’s an honor to have been a part of this amazing endeavor from the start. Love to all you g3girls out there; can’t wait to see you at the big birthday celebration, if my determination doesn’t get the better of me before then! Seriously.
